Adult Mental Health/Youth Therapist

Do you have a passion for providing confidential mental health, addiction and co-occurring counseling services in a fast-paced outpatient setting with a flexible schedule and Friday afternoons off?  If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work as an Adult Mental Health/Youth Therapist and make a difference in our community. 
 
What You Will Be Doing 
In this position as a Mental Health/Youth Therapist,  you will be providing therapy to both youth and adult individuals.  Your caseload will be split between adults and youth with dedicated evening hours for youth, Monday-Thursday, 4:00pm-7:00pm. The remainder of your 40 hour schedule is flexible for adult services. You will be performing face-to-face assessments to make sure people receive quality services that are appropriate to their level of need and will be providing therapy with an emphasis on Evidence-Based Practice to meet the needs of individuals served.  You will complete all clinical documentation within 24 hours. Individuals with experience with both youth and adults is preferred.  There will be training opportunities available in Evidence-Based Practice and youth mental health.  Your schedule flexible outside of the evening required hours. 

What We Require 
You will be a Master’s level licensed professional with a minimum of one year of experience, three years strongly preferred.  You will have extensive knowledge of the DSM V diagnostic criteria for both youth and adults, evidence-based and promising practice interventions, and familiarity with and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  You will have an LMSW/LLMSW or LPC/LLPC.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Physical Efforts – Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing as appropriate. May occasionally require light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending as appropriate. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.

Working Conditions – Office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones. Use of computer screen for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. Possible eyestrain from extended periods of viewing computer screen. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area is required.
