PT Teller I #03472

Essential Functions.

Provides exceptional customer service while promptly and efficiently processing customer transactions. Display STARS standards by promoting positive public relations by providing professional, pleasant greetings, maintaining eye contact, smiling and addressing customers by name.

Contributes to the attainment of the branch sales goals and related objectives by promoting the Bank's products and services and by generating leads and referrals through following Landmark Bank Sales routines.

Act as a paying and receiving teller, processing all transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to all established teller procedures and money security procedures. Support the day to day activity of the branch as assigned, including: verifying cash, balancing drawers, vault and coin machine, processing night drop bags, tracking and servicing ATM machines, assisting customers with safe deposit access.

Answer customer questions and resolve related account issues to ensure customer satisfaction, including phone and in-person. Turn customer issues into opportunities to deepen relationships.

Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding to complete the required forms or tasks to be in compliance with the following systems and regulations.

  • Bank Secrecy Act
  • CIP
  • CTRs and SARs
  • Completion of hold forms
  • Bank's data processing system
  • Branch Imaging Equipment
  • Branch scanner
  • E signature Equipment
  • Bank's contact relationship management system
  • Bank's policy for security and confidentiality

*Open and close the location, following established procedures. (Teller II only)

Additional Responsibilities.

  • May assist with monthly and quarterly audits.
  • May act as a vault teller, maintaining an adequate cash supply to serve customer needs.
  • May order cash from Fed and arrange for shipment of excess cash.
  • Act as a Personal Banker, opening accounts for new and existing customers.
  • Assist customers with Safe Deposit Box access.

Education, Experience, Competencies and Skills.

 Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent face-to-face communication and customer relations skills.
  • Display a professional, positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to read and learn written procedures and policies and the ability to apply those policies and procedures to situations and arrive at acceptable decisions.
  • Ability to perform transactions quickly and efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism while working with the public.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, such as an adding machine and computer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

 Preferred:

  • Cash Handling Experience
  • Retail sales experience.
  • Six months previous banking experience.

Equipment Used.  Computer, E-Signature device, scanner, coin machine, ATM, TCR, TCD, telephone, fax machine, photocopier

  • Physical and Visual Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. (May vary by location.)
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to view computer screen close to eyes.

Ability to view paperwork, cash and documents.

Physical Environment: Normal retail bank environment. May be required to work additional hours or at another location to help during staffing shortages. Saturday work may be required.

 Location: Infrequent local travel.
