Molecular Biologist

Position title: Molecular Biologist
 
A Molecular Biologist position is available in R&D division of NanoScope Technologies, LLC to join our expert team having 100+Yrs of experience in clinical and biomedical research.
The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology or a related discipline. The project specifically requires skill sets related to molecular cloning, mutagenesis, gene editing, gene delivery, viral vectors, cell biology, protein science, drug screening and phylogeny. Background in nanotechnology, neuroscience, behavioral assay, gene therapy, Ophthalmology and electrophysiology is preferred.
Nanoscope team is developing enabling technologies for genetic and optical modulation therapy in order to restore vision in patients with photodegenerative diseases including retinitis Pigmentosa and dry age-related macular degeneration. Our labs are equipped with state-of-art imaging systems including Discovery, Confocal fluorescence, OCT and Holographic imaging microscopes. Essential qualification:
The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology or a related discipline. The candidate will be responsible for drug development, quality test/control, analytical method validation/ verification activities, writing protocols/reports/manuscripts and presenting results to cross-functional team.
The selected candidate will have excellent opportunities to interact with experts in Biomedical Optics, Optogenetics, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, and Clinical/preclinical research for multidisciplinary training. The candidate will have opportunity to also work in our highly rated animal facilities that include behavioral and electrophysiological instruments.
