The School of Medicine and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are pleased to announce the opening of a Research Specialist II position in the Rehabilitation Neuroscience Laboratory.
Research Specialist (50% FTE) sought for Rehabilitation Neuroscience Laboratory

The work in the Rehabilitation Neuroscience Laboratory focuses on acquiring evidence about the neural mechanisms of human sensory and motor behaviors necessary to develop more effective rehabilitation for brain and bodily injuries. The lab employs a variety of techniques for measuring and stimulating brain activity and behavior including MRI, non-invasive brain stimulation, kinematic assessments, and EEG.

This position provides essential support for the scientific team composed of scientists, collaborating clinicians, post-doctoral fellows, and student trainees. In addition to the technical skills described below, the successful candidate will be highly motivated to assist with the implementation of research projects, well organized, and attentive to details. The candidate will also possess the ability to work both independently and cooperatively.

Candidates will be responsible for interfacing computer-controlled scientific instruments. Programming competency is also required (e.g., Matlab, JAVA, PYTHON, LabView, shell scripting). Experience with signal processing and basic electronics is highly desired. 

Desired start date is no later than January 1, 2019.
