Financial Analyst

Support Procurement and Corporate FP&A functions with tracking and measurement of key strategic initiatives, performance metrics, forecasting, annual budgeting and serving as the primary liaison with the procurement function.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills
  • SAP / SAP BW / HFM experience a plus
  • Demonstrated skills in working cross-functionally
  • 5 plus years of relevant financial analyst experience required
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Cost Reduction Module (CRM) administration and tracking of Procurement savings both monthly and for annual planning purposes
  • Collect and consolidate the global budget for Procurement
  • Approval of monthly expense for global Procurement staff (monthly) and allocation to other locations
  • Monthly review and forecast of department budgets, including responsibility for the global Procurement monthly forecast
  • Procurement expense review with plants & business units
  • Build a process and system to further analyze and control Modine’s spending within the supply chain
  • Attend Procurement staff meetings
  • Support annual budgeting and cost analysis
  • Assist in developing commodity metals plan
  • Develop global Procurement department budget
  • Develop saving targets for budget
  • Assist in completion of strategic initiatives; review any key financial (e.g.,total cost of ownership) models developed by Procurement teams
  • Align Procurement department financial metrics and KPIs (key performance indicators) with Operations and Corporate objectives
  • Support global functions – planning, forecasting and analysis including standardization
  • IT, Procurement, Technology (R&D), other

  • Qualifications:Ability to develop processes, tools, and reports that link actual financial performance to budget
  • Demonstrated ability to support major decisions leveraging planning, analysis and reporting skills
  • Logical approach to analytical challenges - apply appropriate analytical tools and techniques to solve problems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and with all levels of the organization
