Driver - Medical Division (Ashland, MO; Columbia, MO)
The Medical drivers transport elderly and disabled passengers to medical appointments and other outings in the community. Ambulatory passengers are transported in minivans. Wheelchair passengers are transported in either converted minivans or full size wheelchair lift vans. We do provide some non-emergency stretcher transportation for passengers needing to travel by stretcher. Extensive training is provided.
The safety of the passengers, our drivers and the general public is our number one priority. We look for drivers with an excellent driving record who want to serve their communities and enjoy helping people.
Drivers start and end their day at their assigned depot. The vans have 2-way FM radios or cell phones to communicate with the dispatcher. The driver notifies the dispatcher of their status on each trip. Drivers generally do not wait with the client at their appointment, but rather are directed to pick-up another client. The same driver may not always return the same client.

Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Have a valid driver’s license, CDL not required
- Have an excellent driving record
- Pass an approved physical exam
- Pass a drug screen
- Pass criminal background screen
