Communications Assistant Intern
Communications Assistant Intern:
Communication Assistant Intern will assist our Director of Development & Community Engagement and Development Team members in various capacities, including:
· Perform journalistic writing and photography/videography on behalf of Isabel’s House, in compliance with confidentiality policies
· Develop and maintain a repository of photographs, videos and stories for use in social, newsletter, volunteer, and donor/funder communications
· Prepare and edit content for Newsletter, Annual Report, and targeted print communications campaigns
· Liaise with Programs Team to create content targeted at assisting families and referral partners
· Research relevant social-action and family-related holidays and national focus days/months/weeks
· Create and publish social media content, as directed
· Update media contact list and routinely submit Isabel’s House press releases, stories, news leads, interview requests and PSAs
· Digitize CD and DVDs with old Isabel’s House Collateral and archive on server
· Improve, expand or establish proper presence for Isabel’s House on emerging social content networks, such as LinkedIn and InstaGram
· Expand and present a thorough Crisis Communications Plan to the Isabel’s House Marketing & PR Committee
· Participate as directed in the planning and execution of Isabel’s House special events and third party fund raising activities
· Deliver and Pick Up Campaign Materials, Donation Drive Items, Posters/Fliers, and other items, as needed
· Attend Community Awareness Events to represent Isabel’s House, as needed
· Preparing individual and bulk mailings, as needed

· Microsoft Office Suite
· Facebook / Twitter for Business / LinkedIn
· Photo/video archival & digitization
