Missouri Biotechnology Association (MOBIO) Events Internship
Missouri Biotechnology Association (MOBIO) is the only statewide membership group that speaks with one voice to advance and champion the life sciences in Jefferson City, across the state and even in Washington, D.C. MOBIO represents the largest and broadest cross-section of life science organizations including businesses, higher education, medical research, start-ups, agri-science and related firms involved in research, development, and commercialization of the life sciences. MOBIO serves to connect, develop, and advance the state’s bioscience community.
In this position, you will work directly with the President and CEO as well as other staff, correspond with board members, and attend meetings with current and prospective members. The core role of this position is to assist in the detailed planning of the MOBIO Summit and other events. Day to day tasks involve the planning and execution of our annual life science summit (Oct 24th-25th). You will be expected to attend the Annual Summit and additional events as a MOBIO representative. The position comes with the benefit of flexible hours outside of the scheduled events. Office hours are flexible and will be coordinated between you and MOBIO staff.
We are looking for a driven student with outstanding communication skills, a strong work ethic and an interest in event planning is preferred. This internship is highly flexible and creative. We expect to have input and ideas generated daily. Any applicant who enjoys planning events, meeting people and has an enthusiastic attitude will thrive in this role.
