The BNSF Logistics Internship Program gives college students practical, on-the-job experience in a business environment. The time spent as an intern lets the student evaluate BNSF Logistics for future employment, just as it lets BNSF Logistics evaluate the intern as a future employee. During internship, a student receives evaluations based on his or her performance and overall contribution to the organization. BNSF Logistics uses these evaluations as a basis for future hiring consideration.
What To Expect:
The program includes an orientation with an overview of corporate policies and appropriate conduct. Interns participate in several key activities throughout their program, including:
- Weekly assignments
- Projects
- Wrap-up capstone – presentation to be presented to executive group
Required Job Qualifications:
- Current student pursuing a two or four year degree in a related field
- Interested in pursuing a career in transportation and logistics, or related department
- Strong work ethic, initiative and ambition
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Strong skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
- Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to follow through with tasks to their conclusion
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
