Social Media Marketing Intern

The social media intern will be responsible for coordinating and executing the University Concert Series social media strategy, under the supervision of the UCS Operations Coordinator. The candidate will work closely with key members of staff and the external marketing team to learn about social media, digital communications, and marketing. The role will be instrumental in increasing the Concert Series' social media presence and gaining visibility for our brand in the community.

Key Duties: Assist with streamlining social media accounts, ensuring uniform content and tone. Increase the number of followers on Facebook by following and engaging potential corporate sponsors and patrons Brainstorming and drafting a social media marketing plan and drafting content to use throughout the season, in conjunction with advancement calendar Maintain a monthly social media schedule. Potential opportunity to spearhead creating of a new Instagram account and content for the season. Opportunity to help create video content for Facebook and YouTube and repurpose content from other sources for our own social media channels. Track key social media and email analytics on a monthly basis. Work with team to create content for the e-newsletter and additional emails as needed.
