Afternoon Preschool Aide/Substitute
Little One's Day Out is seeing an Afternoon Preschool Aide for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year (January 6th-May 15th). Candidates must love working with children ages 2-5 years old in a Christian environment. We are looking for someone hardworking, patient, friendly, and dependable. Little One's Day Out is closed any time Columbia Public Schools are closed.
Responsibilities of our Afternoon Aide include, but are not limited to:
-Supervising up to 10 children ages 2-5 years old during indoor/outdoor play while teaching social/emotional skills.
-Monitoring nap time
-Monitoring snack time
-Assisting in the closing duties or the preschool
Substitutes are utilized as needed during our regular hours of 8:30am-1:30pm and also as needed from 1:00-4:30pm. During regular hours, substitutes will assist teachers within the classroom to implement lesson plans, maintain classroom management, maintain active supervision to keep children safe and healthy, assist with developmentally appropriate lessons, assist in preparation of daily snacks, and assist with general cleaning of the preschool.

Wage: $9.75-$10.00/hour
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma
- Previous Experience with children or child development field preferred
- Must pass physical, TB test, and background check within 30 days of employment
- Must obtain First Aid/CPR and Food Handler certification within 30 days.
