Jr. Financial Planner (Paraplanner)

General:

MSMF Wealth Management is looking for a suitable candidate to assume the position of Para-planner. The firm is experiencing significant growth and requires the focused execution of an experienced candidate with strong skill set of financial planning, case management, and client support within the financial services industry.

The Para-planner will be responsible for supporting Advisor investment case design, implementation, and ongoing client support. This position will require investment knowledge/experience, fundamental concepts in financial planning, industry knowledge, and solid communication skills with heavy client interaction. This candidate will be working in a team environment.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

  • Client Contact - Act as one of main points of contact for clients/prospects of MSMF Advisors & Partners, including “Platinum” level advisor cases
  • Partner Cases - Lead responsibility on Case Preparation and Design for Partner cases
  1. Review/request necessary financial statements, documents
  2. Prepare financial plan, portfolio reports and develop strategic recommendation
  3. Responsibility for final review for client presentation materials
  4. Assist in client presentation face to face or via WebEx
  5. Responsible for action items from initial, implementation or review meetings
  6. Coordinate service activities with Client Service Associates
  7. Overall responsibility for ongoing management of “Open Cases” for Partners
  • Advisor Cases - Lead responsibility for Case Preparation and Design for all  “Gold” support cases (as applicable)
  1. Review/request necessary financial statements, documents
  2. Prepare financial plan, portfolio reports and develop strategic recommendations
  3. Responsibility for final review for client presentation materials
  4. Assist in client presentation with advisor via WebEx if requested
  5. Responsible for follow up and assistance to advisor to implement the recommendations
  6. Coordinate recommended service activities with advisor
  • Team Knowledge - Work with partners and Wealth Management Team to stay current with industry standards and product sponsor initiatives
  • Organization - Assist COO and Mgr of Wealth Management Team in assessing and implementing necessary technology solutions and process improvements.



Qualifications/Requirements:
·       BS degree in Finance or Accounting – or equivalent.
·       Registered Series 7
·       Work experience in the financial services industry
·       Excellent Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, & MS PowerPoint)
·       Knowledge and execution of the financial planning processes (use of eMoney software)
·       Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally in teams

Desired:
·       Advanced degree in business, management, or finance (MBA / MS)
·       Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
·       Strong communications skills – can effectively present complex ideas in a simple manner
·       Excellent Project management, leadership, presentation, and investment / analytic skills
Significant knowledge of eMoney financial planning software
