Your Responsibilities
The Retail Store Operations & Training Intern position is intended to give you practical experience in developing and aligning training with store systems and operations processes and procedures. This opportunity will expose you to a variety of L&D and operations careers available within the retail industry.

The intern has the opportunity to make a real difference by completing a project and give assessments of our company programs. The intern will also spend time in the stores learning store operations and training and will have an opportunity to take a project from beginning to end, building best practices, developing training and communicating to retailers.

The ideal intern will possess the following:

  • Working towards an undergraduate degree, preferably in Business
  • Previous retail or service industry experience
  • Ambitious self-starter who has demonstrated the ability to contribute as an effective team member
  • Takes ownership and accountability of projects and responsibilities
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated motivation and initiative to succeed
  • Knowledge and interest in Ace Hardware Corporation
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday -Friday for 12 weeks
  • Willingness and ability to give presentations to colleagues, managers and directors
