Rotational Development Program:
The Rotational Development Program (RDP) provides a combination of rotational assignments, mentoring and coaching to build a range of experiences across business areas critical to the success of our firm. This is a unique opportunity cross-train in a number of departments while developing professionally, networking with peers and senior leaders, and cultivating a broad knowledge of the industry and firm as you transition into your final placement at our Corporate Headquarters.
 
Client Strategies Group (CSG) – Trading, Investment Research, and Product Management Track:
The mission of the Client Strategies Group (CSG) is to design and champion the Edward Jones Client Experience. This is accomplished by equipping client teams with the insights and complete wealth management expertise, products and solutions throughout the client journey.
 
Within CSG, there are numerous roles specific to Trading, Investment Research, and Product Management that help the division fulfill this mission.
 
Position Overview:
·        Rotational Development Associates on the Investments & Guidance track will have the opportunity to work side-by-side our highly skilled analytical professionals.
·        Rotational Development Associates within the Trading, Investment Research, and Product Management track could be responsible for the following:
o   Perform daily trading-related responsibilities, including pricing evaluation and position management
o   Research, develop and recommend platform/product design changes
o   Conduct security, portfolio or investment manager research
o   Determine rationale for offering an individual security to clients
o   Deliver client service excellence by researching and resolving branch inquiries
·        As a Rotational Development Associate within Trading, Investment Research, and Product Management you will also be given meaningful and challenging assignments throughout the 12-month program. As you cross-train and develop during the program, you may have an opportunity to rotate through the following areas:
o   Platform and Product Management
o   Equity and Fixed Income Trading
o   Advice & Guidance (Client Needs Research, Investment Manager Research, Securities Research, etc.)
o   Product Review

Who Should Apply?
·        Students with:
§ A cumulative G.P.A. or 3.0 or above
§ Senior standing with an anticipated graduation date of December 2019 or May 2020
§ A preferred major for this opportunity, including, but not limited to:
§ Finance
§ Economics
§ Mathematics
§ Accounting

·        Candidates who:
§ Drive to succeed and have a strong interest in the financial services industry
§ Have excellent leadership, communication, teamwork and service skills
§ Demonstrate leadership in campus organizations and activities
§ Multitask and prioritize to ensure maximum productivity
§ Utilize critical thinking to challenge current processes and seek opportunities to improve
§ Are eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Key Rotational Program Components:
The rotational program is designed for associates to develop business and leadership competencies through study and experience.
 
  • Required study and passing of the industry Series 7 and Series 66 exams
  • Development of a Corporate Competitive Strategies analysis, including presentation to firm leaders
  • Formal on-the-job training, including Excel and leading corporate presentations
  • A strong support network, including rotation and team leaders, program peers and mentor

As a part of your RDP experience, you will have the opportunity to experience the following inside and outside of the office:

  • Breakfast with General Partners and senior leaders in the firm
  • Speaker series with senior leaders, including our Managing Partner
  • Visit and job shadow at local branch offices
