Role Description
Consultants support project teams both at client sites and internally. Responsibilities will include client management, solution implementation and generation of project results. As a consultant, a key function of your role will be to create and present quality deliverables that support essential project workstreams. You will gather and analyze data, identify gaps and trends, and make recommendations related to baseline performance and structure, as well as established best practices and benchmarks.

As you develop project management skills and leadership abilities, you will have the opportunity to progress to the Senior Consultant level.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree awarded no later than January 2019 in an engineering, science, business and/or economics discipline.
  • Six (6) to twenty-four (24) months of experience as a consultant, management consultant to include experience working directly with clients.
  • Risk Management, Compliance or Security (Physical or Cyber) experience in a regulated industry such as banking, healthcare, telecommunication, utilities, transportation, energetic materials, etc.
  • Project coordination or management and support experience.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a high degree of self-confidence and determination.
  • Ability to travel

Preferred Qualification
In addition to the above listed requirements:
  • Masters awarded no later than January 2019 in an engineering, science, business and/or economics discipline; Combinations of engineering and business preferred.
  • 1+ years compliance related experience within the Bulk Electric System (BES)
  • Demonstrated understanding in any or all of the following areas:
  1. Bulk Electric System (BES) and power systems.
  2. Electrical Reliability.
  3. NERC/FERC Enforcement.
  4. Critical Infrastructure Protection Standards (CIP).
  5. CIP related Cyber Security.
  6. CIP related Physical Security.

Mental/Physical Requirements
  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work
  • Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location
  • Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyse and transmit data
  • Generally works in an office environment
