Career Tracks:
We are currently recruiting for positions in the following career track. 

The Public Buildings Service the landlord and real estate agent for the entire federal government. This organization has the following position available: 

  • Contract Specialist: As the federal government’s premiere contracting agency, GSA is the ideal place for applicants interested in a contracting career. As an advanced entry-level trainee, you will assist in performing acquisition planning tasks and in awarding and administering a variety of contracts; developing and preparing contract solicitations and modifications; negotiating contracts; evaluating technical submissions, bids or offers for responsiveness to the solicitation; performing price analysis and post-award duties as they relate to property acquisition..

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer is a component of GSA that provides leadership in strategic planning, budgeting and financial management. This organization has the following positions available: 

  • Financial Analyst: Financial Analysts work closely with GSA’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) as well as financial offices within the business lines. The OCFO is responsible for preparing and administering the agency’s $24 billion dollar budget, financial plans, legislation, and regulations, as well as managing more than 30 GSA funds. In addition to maintaining internal financial operations, the OCFO provides reimbursable payroll, accounting, and financial services to other government agencies. Applicants interested in pursuing an exciting career in GSA's federal financial management community will gain hands-on work experience involving the agency's major financial initiatives and operations. 

  • Accountant: Accountants work to solve comprehensive and complex financial management analysis, policy, and procedure formulation, reviews and issues. They analyze and interpret new Federal legislation and policies to determine the impact on GSA; reviewing financial procedures for compliance with policy. Accountants will also review and develop Standard General Ledger (SGL) posting models for new, revised, or unusual accounting treatment. Assessing internal controls over financial reporting and information technology controls in financial systems will also be part of their responsibilities. 

  • Budget Analyst: Budget Analysts are responsible for the full range of review and analysis functions in the formulation, presentation, and execution of assigned budgetary appropriations. Formulating budget estimates, exercising budget controls through review and approval of requests, and researching financial management problems are tasks analysts will conduct. Budget Analysts must ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory policies at all times.
