Communications & Operations Associate

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: The Associate will work with the Policy Manager and Executive Director to support growth of Show Me PACE (energy efficiency and renewable energy financing program) and the Midwest Energy Policy Series (three-part conference series).
Candidates should have excellent writing and computer skills and must be highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

The primary duties of the Program Coordinator are:
  • Support communication efforts for PACE and MEPS. Including flyers, social media, and press releases.
  • Support growth of PACE through communication with contractors and local communities.
  • Support closings of PACE projects through filings of specific documentation.
  • Support the organization of MEPS through the management of event logistics.
  • Support growth of MEPS through the development of event marketing materials.
  • Work with other staff and outside consultants to develop marketing materials, including Program flyers, the agency brochure, and the annual report.
  • Growth and expansion of the position is available.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or necessary experience.
  • Experience in communication, public relations, event logistics preferred.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; strong oral communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail and the ability to stay organized and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • An ability to “change gears” and work collaboratively with internal staff and external partners.
  • Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Wordpress, and Google apps.
  • Experience and comfort working in stressful, but rewarding situations.
  • A passionate and committed belief to factual, scientific and unbiased communication.
  • Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, board members, volunteers, stakeholders, and program participants.
