Hotel Revenue Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:  Supports the maximization of total hotel profit (gaming and cash) by Analyzing and interpreting historical and forecasted hotel data to result in maximum hotel yield.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
·           Maintains room rates and rate structures in the Hotel Management System under the guidance of Hotel management and the Planning & Analysis Manager
·           Coordinate with all areas of marketing and group sales to effectively deliver group, event, and direct mail programs that do not displace revenue from the hotel and deliver high occupancy rates.
·           Review, act and report on any current RM irregularities within LMS and RMS that may result in increased optimal revenue capture.
·           Maintains and reports on weekend displacement analysis to capture future expected demand more efficiently.
·           Responsible for determining historical demand and demand weight for events and promotions.
·           Maintains event and promotions historical demand and Revenue DB
·           Monitors Sales groups and updates rates.
·           Review group blocks and ensure proper criteria is placed within each group master account, including but not limited to billing, inventory against contract.
·           Creates reports analysis based on RM data
·           Provides RMS systems and analysis expertise to help internal customers including but not limited to hotel, marketing, and sales.
·           Creates and maintains all future and existing RM related excel files and models on a routine basis and maintains them as read only for other departments utilization.
·           Creates and analysis ad-hoc reports for property based on RM data.
·           Monitors Direct Mail offers and performs cross-reference against settings within LMS and makes recommendations to maximize profits.
·           Assists in monitoring Marketing calendar for changes and ensuring RM goals are maintained and optimized through efficient utilization of DM campaigns and Events
·           Supports generation of departmental analytical information, presentations, and updates.
·           Creates accurate and timely reports from various systems.
·           Monitors Synxis reports and supports GDS system and extranet exposure.
·           Provides detailed analysis of DM offers, retail, Internet booked, and advertised redemption rates.
·           Maintains and updates daily room and revenue reports
·           Maintains Marketing Databases including but not limited to; Direct Mail, Business Source, Cash Revenue, Theo/Win, Discounts and Promotions, Third Party.
·           Manages Packaging and Promotional Bookings Pace and Revenue. Makes recommendations to maximize profits.

 
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES:
·           Provides other administrative support as needed.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
·        Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier program in one of the following areas or in an equivalent technical field preferred: Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Revenue or Hotel Management, Business, Accounting.
·        Relevant work experience in financial analysis, hospitality, marketing, operations analysis, or the gaming industry preferred but not required.
·        Experience with BI technologies such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Tableau preferred.
·        Must be technically skilled and have experience using data analysis tools including Windows and MS Office products. Must be able to quickly learn relevant industry database applications and software
·        Experience with Hyperion Essbase and Microsoft Access preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Must be proficient in Excel with ability to train quickly in other software programs.
·        Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
·        Excellent math, forecasting, critical thinking, statistical, financial, and analytical skills.
·        Ability to work independently, be detailed and results oriented, have excellent time management skills, and able to work collaboratively with others.
·        Must have good understanding of the general makeup of financial statements; familiarity with general financial principles.
·        Be proactive with incidents and issues ensuring resolution with employees. 
·        Must have the ability to communicate complex ideas to co-workers and internal clients; strong writing and communication skills
·        Must be able to manage numerous projects simultaneously at various stages of development
