Fixed Asset Finance Coordinator
Position Function:
Ensure timely processing, routing, tracking and reporting of fixed assets. Some support of the Corporate general accounting function is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Daily:
- Review fixed asset authorizations and create system records for new assets
- Prepare disposals, transfers, & capitalizations in Oracle FA
- Prepare and record fixed asset related entries in the general ledger
- Provide tags & assign numbers for newly capitalized assets
Monthly & Quarterly Reporting:
- Run depreciation expense using system tools
- Report construction-in-process detail, capital expenditures & asset disposals
- Reconcile fixed asset subledger to the general ledger
Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Detail oriented with ability to work with large spreadsheets and to reconcile large amounts of data
- Computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook
- Experience with ERPs, especially Oracle or JDE, is preferred
- Knowledge of commonly used accounting/fixed asset concepts, practices, and procedures
- Ideal candidate could either have relevant experience to contribute, or be a recent college graduate looking to learn and potentially move to other roles in the future
