Managing Director, District & State Partnerships - North Texas

Teaching Trust seeks a full-time Managing Director, District & State Partnerships to be the point person and lead project manager of partnerships with school districts throughout North Texas.

What You’ll Take On

As the Managing Director, District & State Partnerships of North Texas you will manage all district partnerships within the DFW metropolitan area to ensure that we have an ongoing, sustainable revenue flow through a strategic partnership strategy and your project management. You will cultivate clients and ensure partner satisfaction by providing a high quality customer experience, working in tandem with internal stakeholders. You hold clients accountable to contracts and deadlines through an invoicing and collection process that you lead.  

Additionally, in FY21 you will:

Lead and manage our procurement, payment, and contract processes to ensure that we have a sustainable revenue flow. Collaborating with both internal staff and external district officials, the Managing Director of Partnerships is responsible for complex project management of all logistical tasks related to the business side of the partnership including: handling procurement tasks, leading the contract process for both new work and renewal, and setting the schedule and process for on-time payments for services rendered.

Create and execute an Engagement Strategy that ensures our partners have an excellent experience. The Managing Director of Partnerships sets the vision and strategy for how our internal staff will engage district partners to ensure strong alignment between our work and their needs, with a focus on high quality customer service and relationship management, that leads to a long-term and positive partnership.

Develop and execute a growth strategy to identify and secure new clients and partnerships. The Managing Director of Partnerships keeps a pulse on all opportunities for new partnerships and identifies opportunities for new partnerships in the Metroplex by executing and maintaining a landscape analysis.

• You lead with influence, building meaningful relationships internally and externally. You’ve probably been referred to as a “cat herder,” and you are skilled at individualizing your approach across stakeholders; and managing up and across the organization, to effectively engage partners. 
• You are committed to our organization’s vision for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and are passionate about finding ways to collaborate with communities we serve to disrupt traditional power structures and achieve greater impact for our students.
• You are curious and passionate about what trends, news, and initiatives are happening in our partner districts. You use your intel and research skills to help the org be strategic about approaching new work. 

Ideal candidates will have:
• Four to six years of professional experience
• Two years of client or account management experience strongly preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, demonstrating resilience
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build trusting relationships to drive results
• High level of comfort taking and implementing frequent feedback to improve the work
• Ability to work well with people with a very wide diversity of demographic and cultural characteristics; must be capable of achieving results while maintaining an inclusive, collaborative leadership style
• Passion to work at an organization focused on ameliorating educational inequity
• Exceptionally strong project management and time management skills
• Authorization to work in the United States required

What We Offer

Teaching Trust offers a salary of $105,000 for this role. In May 2018, Teaching Trust implemented a new approach to our compensation philosophy.
