Reporting Analyst – Investment Management Operations

Security Benefit (SB) is seeking a Reporting Analyst to join the Investment Management Operations team. Security Benefit fosters strong partnerships to provide insightful and customized retirement solutions for employers and individual investors nationwide. Through a broad advisor network and its nationally recognized money managers, SB provides mutual funds, annuities and retirement plans and programs. As an industry leader in service technology, SB affiliates also offer business processing and broker/dealer solutions tailored to the financial services marketplace. This position will work out of our home office in Topeka, Kansas.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting Analyst will create recurring and ad hoc investment reports using various tools and platforms. Analyst will develop and implement guidelines and restrictions reporting to monitor and investigate exceptions, resolution and escalation as appropriate to relevant stakeholders. Analyst is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to internal and external clients and will work closely with portfolio management, operations, legal, finance on a variety of issues, ongoing client/investor requests and new client reporting requirements. Will also be responsible for looking for efficiencies in the reporting process and working with the team to convert recurring reports to the reporting system. Analyst will develop and prepare presentations as well as back up analysis using tools such as Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint.
Analyst will have exposure to a variety of financial data and work with a variety of asset types.
 
Qualifications:
·        A bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, MIS or Business Administration
·        Ability to analyze financial documentation and turn into concise data points, develop procedures and communicate detail in both verbal and written form
·        Strong technical skills including high level of proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
·        Understanding of a relational data model and experience in data extraction across multiple related objects/tables
·        Previous work experience with reporting and Business Intelligence tools
·        Previous Investment Operations experience helpful
·        The ability to work well as part of a team and with minimal supervision
·        Working knowledge of SQL and Bloomberg
·        Evident interpersonal, organizational, administrative and problem solving abilities
·        Knowledge of industry data repositories, Qlik, Crystal, Business Objectives, Access, DWH solutions ETL solutions preferred
