Duty Location: Kansas City, MO
Salary Range: RECENT GRADS - $42,391 to $67,405 (subject to locality & duties)
-Target GS11 - $62.737 to $81,563
Work Schedule: Flexible Who May Apply: All U.S. Citizens
Appointment Duration: Up to 4 years, potential for non-competitive conversion to permanent
Positions. Location is in the Kansas City District Office, 601 E. 12th Street, Kansas City, MO
Program Eligibility Requirements:
RECENT GRADS - Will graduate by May 2020, or have completed graduation, within the previous
two years (veterans may have up to 6 years), a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional,
doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution.
Qualification Requirements:
Must have a Degree in behavioral or social sciences or related discipline appropriate to the position
by May 2020 OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with
knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
About the program:
Mentorship is provided throughout the program. Individual Development Plan to create and track
career planning, professional development, and training activities. Positions offer opportunity for career
advancement. Assists in conducting socio-economic studies to determine benefits and social
impacts of water resource projects. Studies are concerned with flood control, water supply, navigation,
recreation, environmental restoration, river systems, river basins and dredged material placement.
