JR0021967 ISRM Governance Intern (Summer 2020)

JOB SUMMARY:
  • This Job is a Paid internship for full time work for 10 weeks.
  • Will be assigned a project-focused opportunity as an ISRM Governance Intern working with our Information Security and Risk Management Governance Team. You will also work directly with an Intern Coordinator and Sponsor.
  • This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and growing industry.
  • The internship program also provides networking, access to executives, structured performance & coaching and fun, local activities.

CAREER LEVEL DESCRIPTION:
  • This is a junior entry level position where the incumbent is required to have a basic knowledge of Information Security and Risk Management.

KNOWLEDGE:
  • Limited understanding of technical aspects of job. 
  • Will learn job skills and become familiar with company policies through 'on-the-job' training.

PROBLEM COMPLEXITY:
  • Involves routine tasks of limited scope associated entirely with the role. 
  • Works on clearly defined tasks.
  • Work is closely managed and reviewed regularly. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • 18 Years of Age
  • Rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Authorized to Work in the United States

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Interest in Information Security and Risk Management
  • Understanding of Information Security Policies, Controls, and Computer Security Frameworks (CSFs), such as NIST and HITRUST
  • Interest and focus on Information Security Risk and Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
