JOB SUMMARY:
- This Job is a Paid internship for full time work for 10 weeks.
- Will be assigned a project-focused opportunity as an ISRM Governance Intern working with our Information Security and Risk Management Governance Team. You will also work directly with an Intern Coordinator and Sponsor.
- This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and growing industry.
- The internship program also provides networking, access to executives, structured performance & coaching and fun, local activities.
CAREER LEVEL DESCRIPTION:
- This is a junior entry level position where the incumbent is required to have a basic knowledge of Information Security and Risk Management.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Limited understanding of technical aspects of job.
- Will learn job skills and become familiar with company policies through 'on-the-job' training.
PROBLEM COMPLEXITY:
- Involves routine tasks of limited scope associated entirely with the role.
- Works on clearly defined tasks.
- Work is closely managed and reviewed regularly. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 18 Years of Age
- Rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Authorized to Work in the United States
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Interest in Information Security and Risk Management
- Understanding of Information Security Policies, Controls, and Computer Security Frameworks (CSFs), such as NIST and HITRUST
- Interest and focus on Information Security Risk and Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
