In this entry level position, you will acquire and develop the analytical skills, knowledge and expertise to underwrite contract surety bonds. A training program and on-the-job experiences will provide the opportunity for Surety Underwriter Trainees to learn the Surety business, evaluate existing and new accounts and make underwriting recommendations to more senior underwriting staff.
Training Program:
Arch Surety has created a training program designed to take recent college graduates and turn them into fully functioning, highly competent surety underwriters. The trainee will work under the tutelage of a dedicated Mentor who will facilitate the trainee’s learning through formal classroom seminars, AFSB self-study, webinars and on the job experience.
Candidates should be effective analytical, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills and an ability to perform fundamental financial analysis as normally acquired through a BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, and Risk Management. Willingness to travel required.
