Internship: Corporate Finance/M&A

This position is posted on behalf of our partner, EY, in Stockholm, Sweden. The candidate will have a mentor on site and the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce will assist in finding housing, insurance and other important matters.

The opportunity
We are looking for an intern to join our Corporate Finance team in Stockholm office during the fall, flexible dates 2020, for 10 weeks. The role is full time.The team will offer you a role with significant responsibility, where you will work on exciting projects related to corporate transactions in a successful team. You will be based in our Stockholm office, and there could be occasional national and international traveling required.
 
About the position
EY Transaction Advisory Services advise clients in all aspects of M&A transactions. Our transaction professionals work in an international environment and cover a wide spectrum of industries. You will be part of the strong and sector focused Swedish Corporate Finance team consisting of ~20 transaction specialists with corporates, private equity funds and financial institutions as clients.
TAS is among the fastest growing service lines within EY in the Nordics.
 
The candidate will from day one be part of the team and work closely with senior staff, participate in analysis, marketing, deal execution and project management. Example of work streams include
 
•        Preparation of presentation materials and market research
•        Financial modelling and valuation
•        Identifying and evaluating prospective sellers, purchasers and targets
•        Taking part in client meetings and presentations together with senior colleagues

Requirements
•        1-2 semesters remaining until gradation of a three-year program, or 1-4 semesters remaining of a five-year program
•        Academic background in Finance, Economics or other technical areas with strong performance records 
•        High personal integrity as well as being team oriented
•        Analytical mindset and social intelligence, capable of working effectively in a multicultural environment
•        Interest in the financial services industry and have a business mindset
•        Excellent command of Microsoft Office suite
•        Fluency in English
•        Ability to prioritize well and work under tight deadlines
