Shared Services Internship - HR Service Center
Job Description:
The Shared Services Summer Internship Program is a robust, 10-week program that immerses our interns in the business of healthcare while providing exceptional learning and development opportunities. Inclusive of a specialized Learning & Engagement Series and team-building activities,the goal of the program is to develop future talent for Northwell Health.
Responsibilities Include:
- Create informative training tools and sessions for Polaris implementation, Northwell Health's new self-service platform.
- Assist the Northwell workforce with inquiries related to Polaris, benefit, payroll, wellness, and retirement.
- Participate in gathering, interpreting and utilizing complex data to develop actionable steps which will improve processes.
- Provide real time solutions via phone, chat or service request while delivering an optimal level of customer service.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Currently enrolled in an Bachelor degree program, majoring in Business, Computer Science or related field, required
- Proficiency in computer database skills, data entry and typing skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations appropriately
- Knowledge of HR and benefits, preferred
- Prior call center experience, preferred
