Help us Bring Mindfulness into Business, Education and Government - Full-Time, Remote Internship

Help us Bring Mindfulness into Business, Education and Government:

The Institute for Organizational Mindfulness is a new non-profit association, with a mission to bring neuroscience and performance-focused mindfulness into the business, educational and government mainstream. We’re looking for several great people to help us drive this message through the corridors of corporate America and Washington.

Why it Matters:

The National Institutes of Health have named chronic stress the global epidemic of the new century, and has confirmed that the workplace is, by far, the primary source (and of course this is even more acute, as companies, classrooms and government agencies are suddenly grappling with COVID-19).

Chronic stress and illness are a result of job insecurity, overwhelming work pressure, information overload, digital distraction, unconscious bias and conflict in the workplace. This is not just very unpleasant, it’s killing us - in fact, chronic stress is the leading contributor to the 9 leading causes of premature death in America.

It’s time for our business, education and government leaders to recognize the scale of the problem, and begin to provide the knowledge and tools to help their people deal with the emotional fallout of the 24/7, always-on, ever-changing, always uncertain, attention economy.

We’re offering unpaid and commissioned learning internships in the following areas:

Building Channels, Partnerships and Sales

Internships in this area are aimed at raising awareness and developing new client relationships with human capital leaders in progressive organizations worldwide.

Internships are unpaid, but rewarded with commissions on any revenue that results from their efforts. It’s a mission-driven way to learn the important entrepreneurial skills of channel building, partnerships and direct sales.

Creating Courses and Certification Programs

We are creating an entirely new curriculum for mindfulness, based on the proven outcomes of neuroscience, biology, psychology, social and organizational sciences.

If you’re interested in course development, teaching, introducing science-based mindfulness into our educational systems and corporations, this is can be a really interesting deployment.

Grant Research and Writing

We need some great people focused on raising awareness and developing funding through corporate, government and private foundations. A good way to learn the mission, synthesize and position it for investment, and create effective presentations.

Research in Organizational Mindfulness

Coordinating existing research and launching new projects around the application of mindfulness to strengthen important competencies and solve intractable human capital challenges inside our organizations.
