Analyst II

POSITION LOCATION: Silver Spring, MD, USA
ANTICIPATED START DATE: Two weeks after candidate identification
TRAVEL: As required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position
IHRC, Inc. provides scientific, information management, management consulting, bioinformatics, and administrative program support to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other Federal and private sector clients. The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of IHRC, Inc., and will be assigned to the FDA Office of Laboratory Safety, located at 10903 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20993 to provide analytical support services. This position is contingent upon contract award.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Analyst II will provide analysis of client data, information, processes, or regulations to confer with and assist government staff.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • With direction from program and project leaders, perform tasks in program and business operations, using quantitative or qualitative methods for analyses and assessments.
  • Conduct studies on specific trends, initiatives, operations, and business programs.
  • Analyze findings.
  • Study new proposals to determine program or business impact.
  • Research current or new management practices for application to programs or business operations.
  • Communicate with managers.
  • Make recommendations in reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited academic institution required.
Required:
  • Minimum 6 years of prior experience as an analyst in a similar capacity.
  • Experience providing analytical support, including using quantitative or qualitative methods for analyses and assessments.
  • Experience developing reports and recommendations for management.
  • Experience conducting studies on specific trends, initiatives, operations, and business programs, as well as analyzing findings.
  • Experience researching current or new management practices for application to programs or business operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills along with outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Energetic team presence with an eagerness to learn and collaborate with other members of the team.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Immunizations may be required.
Language Skills:
  • The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English  
REQUIREMENT:
  • Must be United States citizen or permanent resident or have authorization for employment in the United States
SALARY:  Commensurate with qualifications and experience
