Commissioned Business Development Internship

Commissioned Business Development Internship

The Institute for Organizational Mindfulness is a new non-profit association, with a mission to bring neuroscience and performance-focused mindfulness into the business, educational and government mainstream. We’re looking for several great people to help us drive this message through the corridors of corporate America and Washington.

Why it Matters

The National Institutes of Health have named chronic stress the global epidemic of the new century, and has confirmed that the workplace is, by far, the primary source (and of course this is even more acute, as companies, classrooms and government agencies are suddenly grappling with COVID-19).

Chronic stress and illness are a result of job insecurity, overwhelming work pressure, information overload, digital distraction, unconscious bias and conflict in the workplace. This is not just very unpleasant, it’s killing us - in fact, chronic stress is the leading contributor to the 9 leading causes of premature death in America.

Build Channels, Partnerships and Sales

This internship is aimed at raising awareness and developing new client relationships with human capital leaders in progressive organizations worldwide.

Internships are unpaid, but rewarded with commissions on any revenue that results from your efforts. It’s a mission-driven way to learn the important entrepreneurial skills of channel building, partnerships and direct sales.

Requirements:

- We’re looking for really smart, really ambitious, and really fun people to work with

- We’re a fast-moving startup, so flexibility and a willingness to do whatever it takes, are key

- This is a virtual role, so you’ll need a good computer, good internet and a good place to work

- A passion for people, performance and the future of work

- If you don’t want to change the world, this isn’t the internship for you

You’ll Learn:

- What they don’t teach you in business school

- About the neuroscience-based, performance-focused mindfulness movement

- About leadership, human capital management and organizational development

- From the ground up, in a bootstrapping non-profit with a global mission

- From a team who have taken multiple companies from startup into the Fortune 500

You'll Be Supervised By:

Our CEO and Founder, Mike Foster and our Associate Director, Cole Harbur
