Payroll Associate

What You’ll Do
Overview
As part of the finance team, RePublic’s Payroll Associate will be responsible for the completion of all payroll functions across the RePublic Schools network.
Responsibilities
  • Process payroll in Paycom system
  • Work with each school operations teams and talent team to obtain payroll change information, stipend information and hours for part-time teammates
  • Update payroll spreadsheets for all payroll related changes including new hires, salary changes, benefit changes, etc.
  • Submit all retirement data and payments
  • Complete payroll and benefit accounting in Quickbooks
  • Complete payroll related reconciliations
  • Compile payroll and benefit information for grant reporting
  • Create stipend agreements and select other employee agreements
  • Provide customer service to employees for payroll and benefit questions
  • Reconcile all bank accounts
  • Year-end tax form preparation
  • Special projects as needed
  •  Occasional travel (personal vehicle needed)

  • Ability to work under pressure with fixed deadlines
  • Proficient Excel skills and comfortability with numerical data
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow up to get missing information
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Interest in the education industry
  • General tax knowledge
  • Self-motivation to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Willingness to help teammates outside the finance area when needed
  • A bachelor’s degree with a preference of an accounting related major
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Customer service abilities
  • Experience with Quickbooks and/or Paycom
  • Project management skills
