Marketing Data Analyst

You know GEICO for our unique, ubiquitous advertising campaigns. What you may not know is how much analysis goes into each decision we make with our budget to understand our customers and grow the business responsibly. As a Marketing Analyst, you will be provided the opportunity to directly impact one of the most recognized and advertised brands’ marketing efforts.
Job Responsibilities:
·         Developing the company’s sales plans, but also analyzing and reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly results throughout the year to ensure that GEICO achieves its goals.
·         Reporting findings to key stakeholders and acting as their point person when they have questions about results.
·         Providing analytical support, creating tools and visuals to many of the different Marketing divisions.
·         Evaluating GEICO’s competitive position, and behavioral and demographic shifts in how customers shop for insurance.
·         Pulling, vetting, and producing highly visible reports.
·         Managing, manipulating, analyzing, and distributing data, therefore excellent data management skills are crucial.
·         Prior analytical experience and problem solving, attention to detail, oral, and written communication skills are a must.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and has a drive to learn new software and tools, showing initiative by viewing the internal and external data in new ways. Proficiency in Excel is critical for success in this position. While analytical skills are crucial for the position, just as important will be the ability to communicate and summarize complex information into management ready briefs and presentations.
Requirements:
·         A 4-year college degree with a 3.0 GPA, major in business, mathematics, or a related marketing field of study
·         Experience in querying large datasets
·         Experience in SAS, SQL, ArcMap, VBA, or R
