Information Technology Support Specialist


iTouch Biometrics, LLC is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Information Technology Support Specialist for Tier 1/Tier II level IT support in Hoffman Estates, IL.

The successful candidate will have the ability to provide first level support and training for all technology related requests for iTouch Biometrics’ clients. Responsible for engaging with IT infrastructure including: Active Directory administration, network configuration, system imaging, technical support, Windows hardware/software configurations, and technical documentation. Should be proactive, innovative, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal training. Coordinates problem identification and resolution, tracks and reports Help Desk activities, and trains the federal law enforcement community in livescan processes. Flexibility, engagement, and the ability to communicate clearly while taking on multiple roles is key. Tasks will involve travel across the United States, familiarity with biometric systems, and on-call after hours support.

Salary will be commensurate with applicant's experience/qualifications. $45,000 is base starting point. Position open to growth towards administrative role.

-Minimum requirement of Associate’s Degree* in technology related fields *Comparable professional experience in a technology related field may be substituted for an Associate’s Degree (ie. 2+ years of experience in a professional technology role).

-Bachelor’s Degree in technology or related fields (ie. Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, etc.) as well as one or more technical certifications is preferred (ie. CompTIA A+, Network +, Security+, HDI Helpdesk Technician, Microsoft, CompTIA etc. are recommended)

-3+ years in a customer support/help desk position and familiarity with C++, .NET Framework, and the Russian language is a plus (not required).
