Event Staff Assistant

Summary: Assisting with crowd management at events. These events include, sporting events, trade shows, concerts, and other events within the Mizzou Sports Park.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following, other duties may be assigned:
  • Greet guests as they enter the facility;
  • Assist guests with questions;
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism;
  • Ensure guest safety
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee should also have the following qualifications:
  • Experience/Education:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
  • Must be 18 years old
  • Must be able to comply with the University of Missouri's workplace policy

Physical Demands:
  • Position requires the ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time, walk, use hands to feel or handle, reach, talk and hear;
Work Environment:
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events, the noise level may be loud;
  • Position requires working on evenings, and weekends as required;
  • Position requires working in outdoor conditions, as needed.
  • Position requires working in outdoor weather conditions, frequently being exposed to extreme temperatures (extreme heat/cold/snow/rain)
