Foster Care Management Specialist I/II

SALARY: $35,568.00 - $58, 483.73

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Case Management Specialist has a high degree of autonomy in carrying out case management services as required by contract/licensing/funding body/accreditation requirements. Using advanced knowledge in the area of child welfare, the Case Manager Specialist exercises discretion and independent judgment in making decisions on the overall
management and delivery of services to children on their caseload, aimed at achieving safety, permanency and well-being. The Case Management Specialist will serve as the legal guardian of the children on their caseload, making decisions and recommendations—occasionally on an emergency basis—to ensure the safety and welfare of the children. The Specialist will
demonstrate creative service delivery, strong time management skills and, excellent decision-making ability. This position provides case management services to youth and families to ensure compliance of contracts and licensing regulations. The Case Management Specialist reports to the Permanency Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Education, Counseling or Psychology which included 30 hours of either human development/human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures or therapeutic techniques such as social work, psychology, sociology, guidance/counseling and child development. Master’s Degree Preferred. Must have at least 2 years of experience in child welfare. Must pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
