Medical Screener - Reception Technician

Responsibilities:
• Under direct supervision, responsible for greeting donors and conducting registration procedures to verify donor suitability at the plasma center
• Following standard operating procedures (SOPs), assists qualified donors complete the screening process
• Upon completion of training, educates new donors on the therapeutic products made from donated plasma
• Maintains alertness and awareness to any reaction a donor has during or after the pheresis process and notifies appropriate staff as needed
• Ensures the accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in the SOPs
• Maintains clean efficient work environment, and ensures sufficient operating supplies and forms are available
• Follows all Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent vocational or technical training
• Minimum of 3 months' clerical or customer service experience preferably in a medical or health provider environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
