Student Assistant Technical

The Soil Health Assessment Center currently needs technicians to prepare soil samples for analysis. Sample preparation includes weighing, grinding, sieving, bagging, labeling, and shelving soil samples. Other duties may include sorting in-coming samples, unloading sample crates, subsampling, and preparing samples to dry. Opportunities exist to advance to analyzing soil samples in the laboratory for soil physical, chemical, biological, and morphological properties.

Hours are somewhat flexible. Opportunities are provided to increase hours over breaks in classes and during the summer.
