Job Description Summary :
Sales interns at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas City (“Blue KC”) can expect to collaborate with the sales and marketing team in all stages of sales campaigns. Interns will also have the opportunity to participate in department and company activities. The purpose and intent of this program is to identify and develop the next generation of talent for Blue KC. The program will provide experiential knowledge for degree-seeking students who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare
Job Description
- Act as a liaison between marketing department and other internal departments.
- Supports Account Coordinator and Account Executives to facilitate maximum effectiveness with broker and group executives
- Participates in Marketing Account Executive Meetings and Account Executive training meetings
- Provides general clerical assistance, working closely with Account Coordinator
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates must be enrolled at an accredited university or college and have a minimum grade point average of 3.0
- Additionally, intern candidates will typically be pursuing a BA/BS/MA/MS/MBA degree in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Management, Healthcare Administration, or Public Health
- Solid understanding of various marketing channels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong desire to learn in a fast-paced, professional environment
- Knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Acrobat DC
- Passion for the marketing industry
- Time management skills
