Ecommerce Business Analyst

As an analytics leader for Tommy.com, the Ecommerce Business Analyst will establish a reliable and ongoing analytic and action model for maximizing product selling and inventory opportunities across site merchandising. By analyzing trends, navigating large data sets from different sources, and constructing scenario models based on the rapidly developing needs of the business, the Analyst will recommend tactics to drive demand and conversion. The role requires a detailed, efficient, and strategic thinker who possesses a hands-on approach with analysis, excelling in data visualization, and presentation.
Responsibilities:
  • Leads data analysis from multiple sources (looking at both demand and net) and manage cross-functional peer workstreams to optimize site merchandising based on user behavior and assortment/investment/inventory strategies
  • Analyzes ecommerce and retail KPIs, as well as competitive insights, to design and drive optimization plans within the site merchandising team
  • Manages product taxonomy structure in Adobe against taxonomy sets housed in inventory and order management tools and systems
  • Owns subject matter expertise and leads cross-functional teams to deliver and maintain consistent dashboard models around site search, shopping page optimization, and A/B testing initiatives
  • Identifies any gaps or needs within site taxonomy by collaborating with site merchandising, buyers, and SEO
  • Delivers product performance insights to facilitate SEO, media planning, and strategy
  • Represents as integration lead over product analytics on ERP and software integration
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of E-commerce Merchandise Planning, Buying, or Finance & Management consulting
  • 1+ years of E-commerce experience is required
  • Experience with inventory management over apparel and accessories and a foundation in ecommerce (Retail math and E-commerce KPI application)
  • Strong knowledge of apparel merchandising & digital sales and traffic behavior
  • Adept and comfortable working with large data sets
  • Experience with independently learning new systems and software
  • Advanced Microsoft Office products – Excel (Advanced), Word, PowerPoint (Intermediate+)
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics
  • Experience working in SAP (or other ERP system) and other data warehouse concepts a plus
  • Logical and thoughtful in approach and influential in presenting solution options
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills
  • Good written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly with regard to anticipating and solving issues or concerns before they occur or become critical
  • Must be a self-starter who is flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized
  • Position is based in NYC; ability to work remotely, as needed
