Health Policy Associate
SUMMARY
Under supervision of the Director of Government Affairs, the Health Policy Associate conducts policy related research, analyzes existing data, and develops materials (fact sheets, issue briefs, presentations, etc.) for use by internal staff and external partners.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES –
- Act as a resource to Foundation teams, conducting policy research and analysis of topics and issues identified and requested by internal staff.
- Serve as the primary writer for policy publications (issue briefs, fact sheets, etc.). Working with communications team, manage MFH Health Policy social media accounts and develop website content.
- Develop policy-related presentation materials and conduct informational presentations on policy issues for MFH staff and external partners.
- Assist in planning and execution of Foundation-wide advocacy activities and policy-related projects and contracts.
Other Duties:
§ Participates in team activities and completes diverse assignments in support of team goals
§ Performs general Foundation support activities and carries out special projects as required
§ Adheres to the Foundation’s core and staff values
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
§ Education: Degree in public policy, public health, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
§ Experience: Experience researching and analyzing various topics. Two years professional experience preferred.
