Child Care Site Assistant Y-Club 6 AM Shift

General Function Under the general direction of the Child Care Site Director, the Child Care Site Assistant will aid the Child Care Site Director with implementing Y-Club on a daily basis. He/she must perform all duties in a safe and prudent manner. Know How The Child Care Site Assistant must be 18 years of age. He/she must be sensitive, mature and motivated to work with children and adults. Previous childcare experience preferred. Must submit current physical and TB test and clear a criminal background check. Job Segments 1. Facilitate and guide the teaching of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in our YMCA. 2. Meet all state licensing rules and regulations. 3. Attend 12 clock hours of training during the school year. 4. Assist Site Director with planning and implementation of the daily program. 5. Help with general housekeeping tasks. 6. Document attendance and discipline problems. 7. Supervise children in all activity areas. 8. Maintain positive relationships with children and parents. 9. Report to work on time and maintain accurate hourly records of work time. 10. Participate with children in special activities. 11. Attend monthly staff meetings. 12. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
