Pool Security Guard
Job Overview
Responsible for providing excellent safety, customer service, and a fun, clean atmosphere to the Guests around the outdoor pools, according to the standards and expectations of the resort. Up to 6 positions available. $10.50 per hour
Job Accountabilities & Expectations
· This position will interact with guests and team members on a daily basis
• Maintain vigilance at assigned posts for all activities.
• Ability to remain friendly, calm and professional at all times and during all situations
• Exhibit quick decision-making skills in order to maintain safety and security.
• Keep alert for persons who are disruptive to the establishment.
• Take steps to deescalate situations when at all possible
• If not able to deescalate situations contact Security Shift Officer, Dir. of Operations or hotel operator
• Handle Guest complaints correctly and notify a Manager.
• Work in conjunction with all team members, supervisors and managers.
• Ensure a harassment-free environment through proper personal conduct.
• Use respectful language with Guests, Staff Members, and Managers at all times.
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations to avoid danger to self, Staff Members, and Guests; remain calm at all times.
• Understand, comply with, and enforce all company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service established by company policy.
• Understand and utilize all safety and sanitation practices as defined in the safety program; report any accidents.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or determined by Management.
Required
• High school degree or GED preferred.
• Eighteen years of age or older.
• Good reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Able to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts.
- Able to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Good judgment and decision making abilities.
• Physical Requirements
• Must be able to spend 100% of working time standing, walking, and reaching.
• Pushing, pulling and lifting objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally, from position to position.
• Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing or crouching in narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
• Must be able to carry loads greater than 35 pounds and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/ or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with our Guest in the primary language of the resort.
• Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
