TigerAware is a Columbia, MO, based startup with a software platform that provides digital services to clinical researchers collecting real-time data via smartphones and sensors (aka Ambulatory Assessment). Our cutting-edge research platform, already used by 3,000 research participants at 10+ universities across the US, is helping research teams intelligently plan and manage their studies, advancing the field of mental health and addiction research. Our team’s 5 founders have specialties in computer science, mobile computing, clinical psychology, and ambulatory assessment and we’re growing!
About the role
You’ll support the TigerAware team at an exciting time and a critical juncture in our startup. You’ll be the first person to focus exclusively on sales activities including prospecting, engaging and closing a diverse set of key accounts. You’ll operate with a significant amount of autonomy and flexibility.
Some Things You’ll Accomplish Year One:
- New Software Sales. You will secure 25+ pilot subscriptions and 5+ large grant subscriptions, with many new leads on the way.
- Client Insights. You will compile a list of prospective clients and detailed information about other services they have used, their project budgets, and key software features they are looking for.
- Client Relationships. You will develop strong working relationships with clients as they move through the onboarding lifecycle. While fostering these relationships, you will pursue referrals within their network research institution.
- Shorter Sales Cycles. You will reduce the sales cycle length by 30% through proactive outreach and a strong understanding of university procurement procedures and compliance.
About You:
- Strong Interpersonal Skills. You are comfortable cold calling and prospecting new clients, understanding their needs, and clearly conveying sales information.
- Sales knowledge. You understand how to sell and can demonstrate past successes.
- Independent. You are able to carry out sales processes with minimal guidance and iteratively refine sales strategies over time.
- Organized. You are able to establish client acquisition pipelines and business processes related to sales and client relationships.
- Technically Savvy. You feel comfortable explaining complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
