Operations Associate

Position Summary
Creative Reaction Lab is searching for an Operations Associate that would thrive in a team-centered, co-creation culture for racial and health equity that centers Black and Latinx youth. The Operations Associate would be responsible for supporting the Finance and Operations Manager in integrating operation protocols and systems into the organizational infrastructure to improve our impact and engagement with youth and historically underinvested community members impacted by health and racial inequities, namely in the St. Louis Promise Zone and additional historically underinvested communities of color. Additionally, the Operations Associate will assist with employee engagement strategy development, intellectual property protection, and help improve the reach, sustainability, and growth of our programs and impact.
Responsibilities
Operations
  • Supports a diverse variety of Operations projects that range significantly in size and complexity.
  • Researches and helps create policies and procedures for Creative Reaction Lab.
  • Co-creates staff handbook and employee engagement programming.
  • Co-creates Board of Directors’ communications and materials, including board evaluation, code of conduct, leadership handbook, and more.
  • Monitor merchandise inventory and assist in placing supply orders.
  • Analyze current operational protocols and policies of Creative Reaction Lab and develop recommendations to streamline organizational operations.
  • Prepare and maintain operational documents and support.

Employee Engagement
  • Co-create employee engagement programming and materials to encourage community building, professional development, and personal growth.
  • Participates in workforce administration processes, including working time, leaves & absences, employees’ data recording & reporting, hiring and termination process.  
  • Process employees’ data according to data privacy legal framework.
  • Keep up with labor legislation updates and alert the Finance and Operations Manager accordingly. 
  • Maintain employee records by maintaining applications, résumés, and applicant logs.
  • Verify candidates' background by contacting references.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED or two or more years of experience in an administrative role (informal settings accepted).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Experience with inventory management, database, or similar software is beneficial.
  • Must be detail and solutions-oriented.
