Golf Shop Retail Associate

We are currently seeking a highly motivated professional who works well in a team environment and strives to gain experience in all aspects of the operation. The Retail Associate will work in tandem with the Golf Professional staff to enhance the member and guest experience at the club. This person will need to be reliable and possess a strong work ethic.
Retail Associates are responsible for:
- Serving all members/guests with superior service
- Greeting all members and guests (when possible) by name
- Assist in unpacking and checking in of new merchandise in accordance with procedures
- Receive all deliveries and advise appropriate departments of arrivals
- Maintain the golf shop environment by keeping the shop neat and orderly: straightening and stocking merchandise, assisting Merchandiser with display of new merchandise (steam, ticket, fold, display)
- Handle all opening and closing responsibilities.
- Properly execute all relevant point of sale functions
- Assist with tee time reservations and programming sign up
- Other duties may be assigned by management
Additional Responsibilities
· Maintain a professional and service-oriented environment in the golf shop by utilizing excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
· Ensure service continuity in the golf shop by maintaining a flexible work schedule
· Assist the Head Golf Professional in the daily operations of the golf course
Qualified candidates must have:
- High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work
- One to two years' experience in customer service setting
- Strong verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
- Basic mathematical skills - add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages
- Ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with members, guests, co-workers, and management
- Able to work weekends and holidays as needed (these are our busiest times)
