Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Analyst

Tempus is in search of an AML Analyst to join our exceptional Compliance team. Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer, this person will work to implement and enforce Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”), Know Your Customer (“KYC”), audit, on-boarding, and screening procedures handled by Compliance. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to receive your Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certificate and work with a team of experts in the Global Payments field. 

This position can be based out of any of our three offices in Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington, DC. If you are not located in those cities, don't worry, still apply as a remote candidate (US based candidates only)!

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze and identify risks and AML concerns
  • Review recent news, court documents, and public/private sector white papers
  • Execute KYC due diligence investigations to meet regulatory requirements.
  • AML transaction monitoring and case review
  • Assist with federal and state regulatory examinations to ensure the most accurate responses and continuation of good standing for the business.
  • Manage and complete background check process for all employees, partners, and vendors.
  • Manage and administer annual back-office training programs
  • Prepare written investigative reports and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
  • Maintain required organizational documentation, policies, and procedures
 POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of similar experience with anti-money laundering compliance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Great understanding of confidentiality needs and requirements
  • Ability to produce accurate work in a timely fashion. Managing one’s own time and priorities to ensure the meeting of deadlines.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, maturity, intellectual curiosity, initiative and good judgment; takes pride of ownership for wins and accountability for losses/mistakes
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
