Position Description: Analyst Program
Stifel is looking for an Analyst to join its Diversified Industrials team based in Chicago. The Diversified Industries Investment Banking Group provides advisory and capital-raising services to public and private companies and financial sponsors. The Group executes exclusive sale assignments, buy-side transactions, SPAC mergers, equity raises, debt financings, restructurings and various other strategic advisory assignments in numerous industries including manufacturing, capital goods, specialty vehicles, equipment rental, electric vehicles and clean energy.
 
Responsibilities
An Analyst’s specific responsibilities may include conducting industry research, building financial models to analyze company projections or potential transactions, drafting offering memorandums and presentations, preparing client meeting materials, and working with clients to execute various transactions.
 
The primary role of the Analyst includes:
• Analyzing companies across a wide range of industries
• Researching industry dynamics, growth opportunities and competitive landscapes
• Preparing presentation materials for pitches and live mandates
• Working with industry team and product groups to execute M&A assignments and financings
• Performing in-depth, quantitative financial analyses, including benchmarking, valuation analyses, operating models and KPI reporting
• Contributing to internal and client meetings and discussions
 
Qualifications
Analyst candidates should possess outstanding academic records and have demonstrated strong leadership ability through involvement in extracurricular endeavors such as student government, athletics, and cultural and entrepreneurial activities.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
• Strong quantitative / analytical skills
• Superior attention to detail
• Disciplined work ethic
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous project deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Significant exposure to finance and accounting
• Experience with financial modeling and analysis preferred
• Ability to work as a part of a team
