Housing Program Representative

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development is looking for the next great addition to our Housing Team. We offer a supportive work environment, comprehensive state benefits, and super teammates. The Nebraska Department of Economic Development Housing Team consists of eleven staff members, four of which are regional program representatives serving customers in their geographic regions of the state. The remaining staff include program specialists, application and compliance coordinators and team leaders. 

This position will be located in the Department of Economic Development North Omaha Satellite Office at 5319 North 30th Street. The position requires frequent travel throughout the Omaha and Lincoln metro areas and within the state. Occasional overnight trips can be expected, as well as out of state travel for trainings and conferences.

8am - 5pm with flexible work schedule.

The main responsibility of this position will be to deliver technical assistance to support housing project development throughout Douglas, Lancaster and Sarpy Counties in collaboration with the Housing Team. This includes working with communities, non-profit organizations, developers and community members. The team member assists with grant awards and management including application review through project completion for projects in the metro area. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a knowledge base and delivering program information for the Department's housing programs which includes the federal Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships Fund, and the National Housing Trust Fund. Along with the state funded Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund, Rural Workforce Housing Fund and Middle-Income Workforce Housing Fund.
