Clinical Care Manager
Eligible for $1,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment
Position Summary:
To function as a member of the multidisciplinary Inpatient Team providing clinical program development, oversight, supervision and overall leadership to the clinical programming within the Inpatient Department.
Examples of Essential Functions:
- Responsible for strategic planning, development and monitoring of clinical services and care
- Responsible for supporting and ensuring optimal effectiveness of the clinical team providing effective leadership and supervision to direct reports as well as other Agency team members
- Responsible for hiring, training, development and supporting assigned positions, ensuring required competencies and individual(s) ability to support organizational and program needs/goals
- Provide direct clinical and administrative supervision for staff in clinical roles
- Provide supervision, leadership and oversight of admissions, authorizations and discharges
- Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of best-practices/evidence-based clinical care within the program
- Responsible for the culture of the clinical care team, which shall demonstrate the characteristics of high performance, agility, positivity and resilience
- Ensure clinical care services are provided according to care models and with quality outcomes
- Provide trainings, education and competencies related to clinical care, crisis management and mental health needs of youth and families
- Effectively manages regulatory/accreditation/insurance requirements for documentation, service delivery and reporting
- Meet all licensure and ethical standards outlined by governing licensing body
Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Effectively helps monitor the operations, budget, culture, customer service and overall functioning of the program in collaboration with other program leaders
- Effectively develop programming, services and ensure optimal care for clients aligned with mission
- Effectively utilize the agency’s Electronic Health Record system
- Knowledge and use of the Agency’s Resilience and Trauma Informed Care model
- Strong assessment and intervention/observation skills as well as effective written and verbal communication skill
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, State and local laws governing client rights and provider relationships
Acceptable Experience/Training/ Education:
- Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling or marriage and family therapy
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical work/social work
- A minimum of 2 years of supervisory/management experience
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Required Special Qualifications:
- Current Iowa License
- Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the driving requirements of the Agency
