Essential Responsibilities of Role
- Provide clinical services to children, youth and their families when needed
- Act in conjunction with child and youth service agencies, as well as community and school partners in the area.
Required Education, Skills and Abilities
- Enrollment in and completion of relevant coursework in a Master’s Program in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, Art Therapy, or other approved and related degree
- Ability to be CPR certified required
- Strength-based approached in working with children, youth and families
- Individual must be sensitive to the socioeconomic and cultural characteristics of the population served.
- Group process theories & approaches
- Child and adolescent psychological/emotional development
