2022 National Football Foundation Spring Internship

Start Date: Mid-January
Application Deadline: January 15
Length: 9-10 week commitment
Time Commitment: Monday-Friday (days/times negotiable, 25-40 hours per week preferred)
Compensation: Unpaid; School credit available

Preferred Background: Undergraduate or graduate students majoring in communications, journalism, law, marketing, sports management, or related field.
 
An internship with The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) entails working directly with the Foundation’s communications, events and special projects teams at the organization’s national headquarters in Irving, Texas. Applicants should have a strong interest in communications, public relations, event planning and/or marketing. Strong writing skills are a plus, and candidates should have an interest in sports and college football history.
 
Some of the internship experiences might include working with the following programs:

  • The College Football Hall of Fame Elections
  • The NFF Major Awards
  • The NFF National Scholar-Athlete Awards
  • NFF Public Relations
  • NFF Social Interactive Media
  • NFF Annual Awards Dinner
  • NFF Membership / Chapter Network
  • NFF Operations
 
Responsibilities include research projects, writing press releases and stories for the NFF’s print and electronic publications, producing videos from the NFF’s digital platforms, marketing, social media, database entry, and promotional projects. Interns will gain valuable experience in the communications, sports marketing and non-profit fields with a strong emphasis on developing their writing, organizational, and professional skills. NFF Interns receive direct supervision and routine feedback from a team of professionals who provide training in many of the latest communications techniques and tools with a combined 50-plus years of experience. Please note, NFF interns are not assigned to a particular department and will be expected to contribute to all areas of the organization.
